Pavitt, and more. This edition is in excellent condition, save some sporadic foxing. Binding is tight and strong, with no interior markings present. Brief history of The Annual: "The first 205 issues of 'Modern Astrology' were edited by Alan Leo from August 1895 to December 1912. The first two (of four) issues of 'The Astrologer's Annual', a short-lived publication that was issued instead of 'Modern Astrology' in December 1905, 1906, 1907 and 1908 only.... [T]his particular publication is extraordinarily difficult to source, since it is not included in the typical bound volumes of 'Modern Astrology' magazine." [D. Houlding] In these bound volumes, Alan Leo is never referenced by name — only as "The Editor." Wonderful topics covered in the 1907 edition include: Composite Horoscopes (Bessie Leo); The Charm of Gems (W.T. Pavitt); Why Astrology Should Not Be Popularized; and more. Per the Editor's Foreword: The success of last year's (1906, please see our listing for sale) "Annual" is sufficient excuse, if one be needed, for the present issue; it marks a big stride into the Seventeenth Year of MODERN ASTROLOGY's appearance before the world, and the manner in which last year's "Annual" was distributed by the many readers of that monthly is ample proof of the appreciation accorded to it...."
