(The US editions were issued one month after the British.) This compilation spans January - June, 1908. Privately bound with marbled hardcover boards and three-quarters leather binding. Raised bands and gilt to spine; marbled endpapers. 354 pages, followed by advertisements. Includes bookplate of famous suffragist Alice Eugenie (du Pont) Ortiz, along with her notes in pencil. Wear to boards at hinges, but binding remains firm; rubbed corners and edges; underlining throughout the article "Autobiography of Dr. Franz Hartmann"; 2 pages with writing by the aforementioned owner, with comments on how "Mr. (Hereward) Carrington visited us in 1916 or 1918, and told me the extraordinary story of his wife".
