Book Details + Condition: The Curtiss Book Company (Los Angeles, CA). First Edition, 1911. Scarce. Hardcover. 34 pages. A book of prose poetry, attributed to "The Teacher of the Order of the 15," and transcribed by Harriet Augusta and Frank Homer Curtiss, founders of the Order of the Christian Mystics. This organization combined Theosophical thought with Christian doctrine, and the Teacher of the Order was said to be Theosophy founder Helena Blavatsky, who was deceased at the time of the order's formation. The sections of the book feature historiated initials with small, Art Nouveau-style decoration. A beautifully created and scarce work, with firm binding (interior hinge cracked); lightly rubbed corners and edges; a bit of buckling to cloth of covers; interior is clean and free of markings save pencilled inscription on front free endpaper.
