William Oliver Stevens [1878-1955] was an American writer and professor in the United States Naval Academy, who was interested in psychical research and paranormal investigation. Stevens has collected many famous ghost stories from the Society for Psychical Research in England and the American Society for Psychical Research, as well as from personal acquaintances.
