Uncle Jed Caddie-Master, by Joe Chronicles AKA Joe Chapman — First Edition / First Printing, 1934 — HC/DJ, SIGNED, VERY RARE Golf

 Publisher: Joe Chapman, Philadelphia (1934)

Very rare, first edition / first printing of "Uncle Jed Caddie-Master" — signed and inscribed by the author, Joe Chronicles (Joe Chapman). An antiquarian golf tale (have not read, but have it seen reviewed / described as racist by today's standards) about a golfer’s relationship with his African American caddie. The boards and binding are in near mint condition. The boards retain their rich full back color and the deep orange red title embossing is bright and clear. Almost no visible wear to the boards or to the tight binding. The pages are crisp and clean save a spot or two of foxing on the inside front board cover and corresponding page as well as on the fore-edges. Author's inscription is on the first blank page. The dust jacket is in good overall condition, save a rip on the top of the spine and wear along the dust jacket edges.

A beautiful, bright, and crisp copy of a SCARCE title, complete with scarce author signature, inscription, and dust jacket.
