Very rare, first edition, first printing of "Uncle Tom's Cabin Adapted for Juvenile Readers," by Mrs. Crowe, AKA Harriet Beecher Stowe, from 1853. The boards and binding are solid and tight with rubbing and some shelf-wear. Please see photos. The pages and engravings are crisp and clean save for some sporadic light foxing around the borders on some of the pages. The engravings have their protective tissue papers except for the frontispiece. A very rare find.
