The book provides an historical overview of the bombardment group "H" during WWII, and details the achievement of the B-17 Flying Fortress unit known for being the first to strike Berlin in a daylight raid, and for winning three Presidential Distinguished Unit Citations. Also included are accounts of air combat, as well as an overview of the various support units, social activities and daily life of the Group while stationed in England from 1943 - 1945.
